Which version are you using?
Personnaly I would advise to use the latest trunk or the Ubuntu package. (see
Getting started guide on the BFL website for elaborate instructions).

Try to download BOOST. It's a great library and also includes rng's.

I think you mistaked in the number of '-' to put in front of "with". There
should be TWO!:
../configure --with-matrix_wrapper=/usr/local/ --with-lti=/usr/local/ --prefix=/usr/local/
I checked this command on the latest trunk and I had no problems at all.
Remark that all commands needed for installation are provided in the getting
started guide available on the website (you can just copy past them).
